From my experiences with the M82A1 it is overall excellent replica despite the weight, however as I stated at the start to turn this into a true beast it has to be heavily upgraded and modified to be turned into a DMR with solid range and accuracy, out of the Box without any upgrades due to the M4 style internals expect to be aiming to hit around 50 or so metres with this gun. However to correct this i personally upgraded this gun with a gate titan to allow for customised firing modes such as single fire, and burst fire. I also upgraded the internal barrel to a Prometheus internal barrel, Guarder High Performance Hop-Up Chamber Unit for M4/M16 AEG and a Guarder 70 degree rubber and nub. These are the main upgrades I done at the start which greatly improved the range to around 70-80 metres and accuracy of the gun. A later upgrade I next went for was the laylax hard piston and a Nurpol 13:1 gears to increase its ROF and trigger response.
Conclusion:
Is she worth it? not really if you are looking for a good DMR, this can be achieved by many other cheaper and lighter options out their on the market, however if you simply want it for the cool factor or because of call of duty or something then it is worth it in every aspect but be prepared to invest money into turning it into a true beast. And remember airsoft is a game to be enjoyed and use the gun that you wish to and don’t let other sway you on what you enjoy.
