What is Prometheus Purple?

The Prometheus purple is a soft type hop rubber that is best suited for airsoft guns that are firing around 280-360 however it can still perform well at slightly higher FPS. Though it is recommended to use a harder rubber at higher FPS.

Advantages of Prometheus Purple:

  • afforadable upgrade

  • easy installation

  • high quality with a great seal

  • ability to hop heavy weight BBs

  • Consistent performance

  • improves flight trajectory of the BB

Disadvantages:

  • soft rubber (50 degrees)

  • can be damaged easily if you are not careful

Is it a worth while upgrade?

Yes. The purple rubber is a perfect upgrade for any airsoft gun firing below 360 FPS, it offers exceptional performance for the price and is from one of the most reputable brands in airsoft. The Prometheus purple is probably one of the most widely used hop rubbers around in AEG’s and DMRs due to its consistency and performance in all weather. personally i currently hop .32g BBs to around 70m accurately with my L119A2 using this hop rubber with a ZCI inner barrel.
